Challenge #3 ~ "Mixing it Up!"

For our third contest we would like to offer another
unique & interesting challenge.

Take inspiration from each of the 3 items below. One
is a layout by Carla our winner of challenge #1, one
is a photograph, & the third is a swatch of fabric.
What you will need to do is use all three of them as
inspiration to create a layout. You can take anything
that moves you from each of the photos. Be creative,
it does not need to be a literal interpretation, feel
free to use creative license. This is about getting
your mojo flowing so please truly have fun.

Our goal is to have this challenge inspire you to make
something fabulous.

Once your layout is complete, comment back to this
post with a link to your layout or email it to us
before the deadline. Please be sure to let us know
what elements or inspiration you took from each of the
three!

We look forward to your entries!

This challenge is due on September 15th at which point
the creative team will choose a winning layout.

Here are the creative team's example layouts.

Hi, ladies! I also had fun with this challenge! :)

is my page.

For inspiration:
1. I used some of the colors and the arrow I found on Carla's page
2. The hand itself, and
3. The colors of the fabric swatch inspired me to use white (for the base) and black (for the mat) cardstock, as well as to add some stamped vine images in black.

Thanks!

This challenge was a blast!

Used some spunky colors like the first layout, as well as the stars stacked on top of each other gave me the idea to do the tiny pictures stacked in a row.

Traced my hand like the hand picture . . . my daughter did NOT want my helping hand this day. :)

And I added a punch of black and white like the last picture.

Thanks for looking!

here is my layout: http://seesuescrapbook.blogspot.com/2007/09/look-what-they-did-to-me.html

inspiration:
1. i loved the arrow and decided to use that... also, the wavy border caught my eye and used the little bit of waviness in my page.

2. i used five buttons and five flowers, inspired by the five fingers

3. i originally planned on using brown and pink on this page, but because of the fabric sample i decided to use black and white with the pink (instead of brown)

this was fun!!!

I was so excited to do this challenge-- I went way out on a limb- so far from anything I have ever done before, but I was really inspired by your pieces. Thanks for pushing me.

Here's my take on the challenge. I used the "my" theme and blue paper with stitching from LO #1, the topic of hands from #2 and the B&W design paper from #3.
